Fire in suburbia.
Posted by Harvey on January 28, 2010
Tonight I met Dana and Jon. A cute couple who you will surely see more of on our LoveBucket blog. We will be shooting their wedding June 26, 2010 and they are two of the very first few people to be included in our 100 people project. Anyways, as I was on my way home I turned into my neighbourhood of Summerside and noticed a plethora of flashing lights. Police cars and fire engines blocked the roads and billowing smoke was clearly visable over the lake. I couldn’t just go home without checking out what’s going on. It was a huge house fire. The following photos are a harsh reality and a very good reason to get insurance. If by chance you don’t have insurance please get some today. This could happen to any family at any time and a tragedy like this would be a thousand times worse if nothing could be replaced. The police cordoned off the streets so these pictures are taken from a fair distance away. My thoughts and good wishes are with this family and I hope eveyone is healthy. Also, a big thank you to the brave firefighters who were working tirelessly to save neighbouring homes.
UPDATE: You can find out more information now at The Edmonton Journal.

A reality check…everyone needs insurance. Please don’t think this couldn’t happen to your family.
